Thinker SE glass bed: Preferred Side?

Post by ThePrimate » Fri Feb 26, 2021 1:02 am

We were lucky and got two thinker SE's v2 partially disassembled a few months back. I got one up and going but noticed just this morning that the glass bed has indentations or something on one side, smooth glass on the other. Now I've been printing with the smooth glass down (this is the way it came to us) I notice the other printer (still partially disassembled)has the smooth glass side up. Which side should I be using or does each side have a different use?

Hi, about the question"Which side should I use?"
You can refer to this:
1. If the filament can stick very well at different texture surface
Then you can use both of them
2. If the filament can't stick very well at the matte texture surface
Then you should use the smooth side.

How about the matte texture surface advantage?
The prints can be removed easy when you finished the printing but smooth side will be a bit difficult to remove the prints.
