Printer Resetting itself when attempting to print

Post by AndyHardie » Wed Dec 02, 2020 8:54 pm

Hey all, I just got my printer two days ago, ran a test print etc and now my printer is resetting itself every time I try to print something. I also cant flash the firmware as via cura it says failed to communicate. USB works as I can control movement and heat etc via cura.

Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
You can refer to this post then you can fix it.
The new firmware can help with the restart of the preheating.

Hey, the restart issue is due to the bed PID. We have disabled it in the new firmware, So you can go for the latest firmware.
Actually, Thinker SE has a special form below the bed that is responsible for giving the uniform heat all over the bed, the bed PID do the same function. That's why we disabled this function.
1. If you are unable to upload firmware via Cura. Restart Computer, Use another port in the computer, and then try.
2. If the upload via Cura goes half and then failed, the solution is to unplug the two LCD cables from the motherboard and then try to upload again.
3. If you are getting errors like ""avrdude: stk500v2"" via Arduino/VS Code, unplug the LCD cable.
