Dear all!

can you please confirm that for Thinker SE I need the Thinker 2.0 / 2.1 firmware downloads?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Christian

Hi,
the thinker SE uses the same firmware of thinker S2.0/2.1.
Because most of the hardware is same as the thinker s2.0/2.1

Hi, I own Eryone thinker SE since 18 May, I downloaded both Marlin 1.1.9 and Marlin 2.0 (2020 03 17)

Configuration.h doesn't specify TMC2208 drivers (in Marlin 1 and Marlin 2):

Code: Select all

/**
 * Stepper Drivers
 *
 * These settings allow Marlin to tune stepper driver timing and enable advanced options for
 * stepper drivers that support them. You may also override timing options in Configuration_adv.h.
 *
 * A4988 is assumed for unspecified drivers.
 * [...]
**/
//#define X_DRIVER_TYPE  A4988
//#define Y_DRIVER_TYPE  A4988
//#define Z_DRIVER_TYPE  A4988
//#define X2_DRIVER_TYPE A4988
//#define Y2_DRIVER_TYPE A4988
//#define Z2_DRIVER_TYPE A4988
//#define Z3_DRIVER_TYPE A4988
//#define E0_DRIVER_TYPE A4988
so A4988 drivers are assumed.

Is it an error?
Should I change to TMC2208 or TMC2208_STANDALONE ?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,
If you set the TMC2208_STANDALONE, then it will similar to the "//" So you don't need to set them.
If you are using the UART with the TMC2208 then you can define it to TMC2208

Hi,

Q1: The z axis only move up and won't auto homing
A: It means the config is incorrect. Please check the "note" then replace the old config.
Then it will work.

Q2: The extruder doesn't feed anything
A: When you finished the firmware upload. Please reflash the EEPROM at first.
The extruder doesn't work means the firmware enabled the linear advance feature.
You need to add the "M900 K0" at your start gcode to disable it.
Or just use the "Pronterface" to send the "M900 K0" and then use the "M500" to save it.

Again, please check the note info. All the answer is here.
