Spool holder holes pre-drilled in wrong place

Post by mza1979m » Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:36 pm

I just finished assembling my printer, but there is a serious mistake with the engineering of the spool holder positioning. The holes for the filament holder are in a different location from what you have in your assembly instructional videos, and this makes mounting any spool impossible. On my printer, the holes for the 2 screws to mount the spool holder are all the way on the far left, whereas in your video the holes are about 2 inches away from the far left. When the spool holder is mounted all the way to the left, the spool sits directly on top of the z axis lead screw cover and does not spin freely! As a workaround I rotated the spool holder 180 degrees and mounted it on the front of the frame instead, but that is far from ideal.

It seems the dig hole incorrect at the aluminum extrusion profile.
But here is a solution for it, you can print it then it will fix this
